Three Capes Loop RV Trip | : | Newport ~ Depoe Bay ~ Lincoln City ~ Pacific City ~ Sand Lake ~ Netarts ~ Tillamook ~ Manzanita ~ Cannon Beach ~ Seaside |
Before you get to Depoe Bay you may want to stop at:
Beverly Beach State Park - Full hookup RV campsites (online reservations), hiking trails, beach access, picnicking, and more.
Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area - Beach access, tide pool on the north side of the punchbowl. During rough seas the water slams into a punch bowl shaped area and churns around and foams up.
Depoe Bay itself is a small town that is billed as the "World's Smallest Harbor". However, it makes for a nice stop to walk around, stretch, watch for whales, and maybe have lunch. In Depoe Bay you will find:
Scenic & Whale Parks - There are waterspouts visible here during rough seas. The water is forced into lava tubes then shoots up. Picnic tables available. Located on the west side of Hwy 101 in Depoe Bay. See pictures below.
Whale Watching Center - Located at the south end of the parks on the west side of Hwy 101.
Downtown - The main drag downtown (where all the restaurants and shops are) is along the waterfront on the east side of Hwy 101. See pictures below.
Whale Watching Trips - Trips available from Whale Research EcoExcursions and Tradewinds Charters.
Depoe Bay is proudly billed as the "World's Smallest Harbor". |
