Manzanita is a small beach town that is pretty consistently windy, making it a popular place for kitesurfers. The downtown area is small but cute.
Here are some highlights of Manzanita, followed by pictures:
Nehalem Bay State Park - RV Campground (electric with water, dump station, online reservations), beach access on the ocean side (windy, great for kitesurfers) and the bay side (much less windy), and more. You can walk the oceanside beach all the way into town from the park. See pictures below.
Traveling north on Hwy 101 from Manzanita are a couple of nice beaches you might enjoy stopping at:

Manzanita is a cool little town with a big beach. It is adjacent to Nehalem Bay and Nehalem Bay State Park. The ocean side beach is very windy. |
