THREE CAPES LOOP RV TRIP
Seaside
Seaside is a decent sized town and looks like a town that has been a big tourist town since the 30's or so. Here are some highlights of the area, followed by pictures:
Tillamook Head Trail - At the southwest end of town off Sunset Blvd. you can pick up the Tillamook Head Trail and go hiking. This trail will give you good views of the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse ("Terrible Tilly").
Promenade - This is a wide, paved path extending along the ocean for several miles all along the town of Seaside. Stay on the paved path of access the beach. See pictures below.
Broadway Street - There are loads of restaurants, bars, shops and attractions all along Broadway Street (from Hwy 101 west to the ocean). Very walkable. See pictures below.
Seaside Aquarium - Feed the seals at the Seaside Aquarium, located right on the Promenade at 2nd Ave (north of the turnaround at Broadway). See picture below.
From Seaside head south on Hwy 101, and before Cannon Beach you will take State Road 26 East toward Portland. Before getting to Portland, take Hwy 217 South through Beaverton, then join up with I-5 South, which takes you to RV's To Go in Wilsonville.
